Pitch Mallorca 2007

El Festival Pitch Mallorca Electronic Festival celebra su segunda edición el próximo 18 de agosto en el Polígono de Son Rossinyol (junto Hipódromo Son Pardo) de Palma de Mallorca.
Contará con dos escenarios (Escenario Budweiser y Escenario Burn) y una “Carpa Pasatiempos”.
El precio de la entrada anticipada es de 38€ y está a la venta en todos los puntos TickTackTicket y Servicaixa y en Palma: Pasatiempos, Discos Oh!, Xocolat, Disco Loco, Devil, Discos Gong, Roll and Roll, Switch People, Up Rocking, Stance, Linea 6. / Inca: General Music. / Manacor: Discos Baba. / Pto. Pollensa: Sutton’s Cafe. / Pto. Alcúdia: Mestizo Café. / Sa Pobla: La Penya Artística. / Muro: Instensiu. / Can Picafort: Fonoll Marí.

Can you recommend any good clubs in Mallorca ?
I’m one of the artists that was to be playing in this edition of the PITCH FESTIVAL and I was also responsible for the line-up and coordination of the Electronic Experimental Stage “Pasatiempos”. I do not write in name of the organisation team (which I am not part of) but only in my own behalf.
We feel desolated about this lack of commitment of the City Council. The recently elected coalition of left parties in the government has neglected any help to the organisation, when only a simple act of support would have made possible the event.
The reasons argued by the Council are contradictory with many other events celebrated at the very same space during the year and we can anly assume that some kind of obscure motivation has driven this sad circumstance.
This was absolutely unexpected since last year’s edition was an absolute success and the Festival was prepared in a much professional way this year. Permissions last year were granted only within one month, but this year the process started already in April so the last minute withdrawal of support from the Council was totally unexpected.

Respecting to your questions about good clubs in Mallorca, I can tell you that there are some good ones but most of them took sort of a holiday this week because the Pitch Event was going to be such a hit that noneof them booked big name DJ’s for this weekend.
WE had Chirs Liebing just two days ago, Speedy J a little before… House, Minimal, Techno… Let me also know what are your preferences.

I just want to say thanks to Pedro and everyone for their comments. I have just returned from my visit to Mallorca. Thanks for the clubbing info Pedro. I ended up visiting Miss Kittin @ space on Sundays… I took the Ferry from Palma… It was great
It really was such a shame that Pitch 2007 was cancelled.
Lets hope we can all make it to Pitch 2008.
